Through Beta Theta Pi, many brothers are inspired to get involved in many extracurricular activities when they’re not attaining to their schoolwork. The active chapter currently has many distinguishable leaders on campus, including those that are affiliated with such esteemed campus programs as SAB, Cardinal Hosts, Student Ambassadors, IFC, REACH and First Year Guides, as well as having three RAs currently living in Unitas Tower and West Hall. Additionally, Betas have been one of the most consistent community service contributors to U of L during the past few years, placing in the Top 3 for Community Service hours the last four consecutive semesters. Betas are always visible in participating in all the campus’ sorority philanthropies, SOUL-sponsored events, and taking the initiative to create our own opportunities. Most notably, Beta has taken the initiative to establish the Karaoke for the Cure, dedicating our fall semester towards raising money for the James Graham Brown Cancer Center for breast cancer research. Despite being so heavily involved in many extracurricular activities, Betas also build in time for fun around our schedules. Betas are highly competitive in intramural athletics, and let all pledges participate immediately after they have signed their bid. Betas are also very social with the sororities on campus, with brothers having girlfriends in all six Pan-Hellenic members and the fraternity itself having socials with half of those last year. Additionally, Betas aren’t afraid to venture out of the city of Louisville, as road trips our annual Formal road trip, as well as Fall and Spring Break explorations that have brought brothers to Gatlinburg, Windsor, Toronto, Florida, and Arizona among other places.
